washed out killed.

the show was souper sick. your boy pictureplane rocked a few tracks, but nothing really stuck. he started with a tight house beat, but it quickly got garbled. maybe thats his asthetic though, so i might have to check the disc out for further review. then WO came up & he said he would play a few now then come back out with the headliner. its obvs sample-based music so there is not much you can do up there besides hit keys, but he looked like he was having fun up there which really made the crowd get into it more. the only complaint is that he played some songs a bit remixed, which is cool and all, but it woulda been better to hear it as heard on the ep. the vocals were sick, all reverbed out. i would say his set was at about a 7 at this point. small black then played a few, and their shit was together. the bassist was definitely the heart of the band. then, as promised, washed out came back to play his jams with small black actually playing his tracks on instruments, alongside the samples. this is the souper douper sick part of the show i was talking about when i said the show was souper sick, remember? then my brain exploded. video(s) to follow.
